Should you wish to make a return, either for a refund or an exchange, please check the refund and exchange policy of the designer you bought the item from for more details. Should the designer allow refunds or exchanges, please follow the steps below to contact the designer.

Each designer provides a size chart and description of their items, and you are also able to contact the designer directly through the ‘Ask Designer a Question’ option to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase.

For a successful refund or exchange please ensure that all items returned are in their original condition, with the original packaging and all tags still attached. It is your responsibility to ensure that the returned goods are shipped with a reputable and trackable shipping provider and returned to the seller undamaged. 

How do I return an item for an exchange or a refund?

If you have an account on Black Book Fashion, please sign in and go to > My Account > My Returns > Request New Return > Select Order > Select Item. Choose a 'Resolution', select a reason for the return from the drop down and add in a message to the seller.

If you bought the item as a guest, please click HERE and follow the steps to apply for the return. You will need to provide the email address with which you bought the item and the order number. If you are unsure about the item number, you can find it on your shipping confirmation and invoice. If you are still unsure, please contact us at [email protected]

Abuse of returns policy 

The returns policy of the designers is generally intended to ensure that our designers and customers are treated fairly. Should we encounter abuse of the returns policy, your account may be flagged and future sales potentially refused or even lead to closure of your account. 

Original Condition

Please ensure that all items are returned in their original condition as otherwise this may lead to rejection of your exchange or return request. 

Discount and promotion items

For some promotion and discount items a refund may not apply. Please ensure you have read and understood the individual designers’ policy prior to the purchase of an item.

Lingerie and swimwear

For hygiene reasons not all items have a refund policy therefore please check the individual designers prior to purchase. Should a refund policy exist ensure that the protective strip is in place and items are returned in their original condition. 

Faulty merchandise

Merchandise is considered faulty if a manufacturing fault has occurred. The designer must be notified of this immediately together with a detailed description and photographic evidence. Items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are generally not considered to be faulty. 


Whilst our partner boutiques make every effort to showcase the products on Black Book Fashion as accurately as possible, please be aware that depending on the device(s) the customer uses, not all colors will display accurately. We cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display will display colors in the same way as in person.

Custom and handmade items

Some items on Black Book Fashion are made on demand by designers and artisans and will have their own particular policies. Please ensure that you have read and understood their policies prior to making a purchase.
